Aviation Maintenance Management
Aviation Asset Management (AAM) will work with airlines, operators and owners to ensure effective maintenance planning is undertaken and that adequate maintenance reserves are being provisioned for the duration of the contract.
This will ensure the residual value of the aircraft or engine is not destroyed and there are no unexpected expenses at contract expiry.
AAM experience in negotiating and managing maintenance and service agreements will protect the value of the assets throughout their life.
The best time to negotiate "Power by the Hour" and "Airliner Support" through life maintenance contracts for new engines and airframes is at the time of negotiating purchase contracts with engine and airframe manufacturers.
AAM staff have extensive experience in this field and can assist with those negotiations.
AAM staff and affiliates also have extensive experience in airframe maintenance management.
AAM can support operators in comparing engine and airframe "Fleet Hour Agreements" and "Time and Materials agreements" to determine the most cost effective approach for through life maintenance. If a "Fleet Hour Agreement" is the best option AAM can assist with contract negotiations with the manufacturers.
Engine and Airframe Lifecycle Maintenance Management
AAM can assist the owner or operator:
- Prepare maintenance contract negotiation strategy
- Prepare a maintenance contract negotiation plan
- Prepare the scope of maintenance work to be undertaken during the assets life cycle
- Engage with the manufacturer to negotiate an appropriate Letter of Intent
- Liaise with legal counsel in order to prepare the maintenance contract documentation
At the time of used aircraft or engine acquisition it will be appropriate to enter into maintenance agreements in order to minimise the through life cost of maintenance, smooth the cash flows and maximise the asset value.
AAM can support operators in establishing airframe and engine maintenance programmes and engage Maintenance & Repair Organisations (MROs) to perform such maintenance.
